"BMPV" is divided into two forms: "BAPV" and "BIPV".

• "BMPV" (Building Mounted Photovoltaic): Photovoltaic power generation systems installed on buildings can be referred to as BMPV and "Building Photovoltaic". BMPV includes BAPV and BIPV. The buildings involved include all kinds of civil buildings, public buildings, industrial buildings, etc., which can carry photovoltaic power generation systems.

• "BIPV" (Building Integrated Photovoltaic): A solar photovoltaic power generation system designed, constructed and installed at the same time as the building and integrated with the building, also known as "constructed" and "building materials" solar photovoltaic buildings. As part of the external structure of the building, it has not only the function of power generation, but also the function of building components and building materials, and can even enhance the beauty of the building and form a unity with the building.

• "BAPV" (Building Attached Photovoltaic): A solar photovoltaic power generation system attached to a building, also known as an "installed" solar photovoltaic building. Its main function is to generate electricity, which does not conflict with the function of the building and does not damage or weaken the function of the original building.
